The last few months have been incredible! My new band, “A Beautiful Mess” & I have been learning new songs like crazy. I am now part of a band that most people can only dream about having. We opened for Ray Price and that was an incredible experience. The people at the Stafford Center in Stafford, TX really know how to put on an event and treat us like gold. Thank you Charlie, Janice, Carol & staff. We even got to go to Ray Price’s private birthday bash, which was so much fun! We have a bunch of great places we are playing, look on our “Dates” for upcoming shows. We have so many fans coming to our events! I have to tell you about my band! Rick Prado is our Bass player & leader of our group, he works really hard at getting things together, so much happens behind the scenes that most people can’t even imagine. He keeps us all in line when we start having to much fun at our practices! He puts together the set lists, provides his house for practice, manages our bookings along with my Mom. I don’t even know of half of the stuff he does. John Butcher is our lead guitar player, and he can PLAY. He absolutely amazes me. I can’t even imagine playing like he can. He is so much fun to be around. He cracks us all up. Christopher Cortez is our rhythm guitar player and like John, he is amazing. He is also my duet partner! I have always wanted to sing duets and with Chris by my side, we can belt them out. He’s a terrific person to be around. Steve-O is our extremely talented drummer. He’s one of the best drummers I have ever heard, besides my Daddy. He is also the sweetest most caring person you’ll ever meet. He has an incredible personality and everyone loves Steve-O! Keith Alan is our wonderful soundman. He has a huge job & works harder than all of us put together. He keeps everything together for us, keeps us sounding wonderful & handles all the problems that can occur. We just don’t talk to Keith until we are all set up! LOL! He’s a sweetheart. I am so blessed to have these guys in my life. I now have 5 more big brother’s! I also have my Mama, without her none of this could be possible for me. She works so hard for me every single day of her life. She’s my Mom, my best friend, my biggest fan, my wardrobe manager, my booking agent, my cook, my doctor, my PR person, my therapist and so much more.She has made my dream come true. There’s also my Dad, there is nothing my Dad wouldn’t do for me (Except knock out the wall in my bedroom which I have been waiting on for 3 years.) Just kidding Dad! My Dad’s my hero. He hauled around equipment for me for many years, set it all up and took it all down. Daddy got a promotion, and he doesn’t have to do that anymore. He’s our driver to our gigs and takes care of my mom and I.There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for us. He’s also my biggest cheerleader along with my wonderful sweet Papo, my Grandpa who goes to all of my shows, which is unbelievable because of his health. I have to say he is my number one fan and I love him so much! There are so many more people that I am so blessed to have on my side! I will tell you all about them in future articles.
